Samsung Galaxy Player Rival for the Ipod Touch?

Samsung have done their best to keep their product line as good, if not better than Apple’s. Take the Galaxy Tab for instance, many reviews rate it above the iPad and you certainly get more for your money with one. Looking at the specs of what it can do and the fact this is to the Galaxy S what theiPod Touch is to the iPhone 4 equal in every way with the fact the Sammy is slightly better specced. you can bet your bottom dollar that this will certainly be one to think about if you’re looking for a cheaper PMP that still does pretty much everything including apps.

So lets break it down.

So as you can see from those it certainly offers more than your standard iPod Touch does and whats better is the price. Amazon have put them up for pre-order on their site (despite the fact the player hasn’t officially be announced yet but rumour has it down for a 7th January release after it gets shown off at CES) with the 8GB player at £150 and the 16GB at £180 so basically its cheaper than an ipod touch too.

Wii and Xbox Kinnect to play Call Of Duty!!!

Forget about using a boring old PC mouse to play call of duty, those are just too old school now! Just get some money together and purchase a Wii and a Kinnect, Then configure the controllers to your PC and play the game, it's as easy as that, we think! A geek who calls himself Demize2010 on YouTube did just that and show us how real men play Call of Duty, and man it sure is immersive. Using the Wii controllers to shoot and move about wasn’t enough for him, he modified the Kinect to allow him to lean around a corner, jump and even crouch. Watch the video bellow

6 Of The Best From CES 2011

A camcorder like no other

After a huge day for product announcements things have settled down a little at CES, and that’s a good thing, as it gives us a chance to tell you about some of the other gadgets that have been catching our eye at Las Vegas.

Of course the big-name tablets and televisions of this world are going to dominate attention, but there have been literally hundreds of other fantastic new bits of kit unveiled at CES that we haven’t had a chance to tell you about yet. So let’s look at just a handful:

Casio TRYX: Casio has thrown those typical camcorder design templates out the window and produced something truly unique in the TRYX. The screen swivels vertically through 270 degrees within the camera frame, which itself swivels horizontally around the lens through a full 360 degrees. It needs to be seen to be believed – and you’ll be able to do just that from April.

Monster Miles Davis Trumpet: real contenders for the most gorgeous earbuds we’ve ever seen, these tributes to one of jazz’s biggest legends are also unbelievably tiny. We particularly like the slider controls on the cables that have been designed to look like trumpet valves. It’s probably no surprise to hear they’ll cost close to £300 when they’re released next month.

Griffin Beacon: it may look like a ringside bell from a boxing match, but the Beacon is far smarter. Combined with an accompanying app, it instantly turns your iPhone into a universal touchscreen remote control, converting Bluetooth signals into infrared so you can control your TV from your phone. Set to be launched in May.

Sony Bloggie 3D: Sony’s gone big on 3D this year, and one of the places it’s chosen to take it is into your pocket with a 3D version of its popular Bloggie cam. Squeezing a pair of lenses and sensors onto its cut-size frame is some feat, plus there’s a stereo mic and a 2.4in 3D-capable screen so you can watch your footage on-camera. Out in the UK around mid-year.

Motorola Atrix: CES isn’t really a mobile event, but a couple of seriously big-hitting smartphones have nonetheless taken a bow. Dubbed the ‘world’s most powerful smartphone’, the dual-core Atrix has 1GB of memory, a 24-bit 4in screen, runs Android 2.2 and has been designed with next-gen 4G networks in mind. It’ll be launched later this year.

MSI Kid Pad: so there is a tablet in our list after all, but the Kid Pad is something different. As the name suggests, it’s designed for children – allowing you to keep your iPad free from jam-encrusted fingerprints while still allowing the kids to get some tablet action. Predictably big and chunky, sadly this 10in slate is just a concept – for now.

Ces 2011, Wednesday 5th of January

It was Not all about 3d tv's and Tablets!

What a great day, Las vegas has certainly delivered with todays line up of toys!

The keynotes from the first full day of CES action came thick and fast: Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Toshiba, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Samsung… and that’s just the big names from a breathless day of exciting new tech.

The big TV makers dominated the day, with Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG all announcing extensive product revamps, predictably dominated by new milestones in the world of 3D.

One of the more interesting sights was Toshiba’s demo of 56in and 65in glasses-free 3D sets. We’ve already seen 16in and 20in models from Toshiba go into production, but it’s the first time a 3D screen of any serious size has promised the promised land of glasses-free viewing. Sadly, though, it’ll be a good while until Toshiba’s clever new tellies see the light of day.

Toshiba’s rivals all outed rafts of new TVs too, but they were just part of the excitement from the big electronics giants. Samsung, for instance, outed the Infuse 4G, a 4.5in smartphone beast debuting the SuperAMOLED Plus screen tech.

Panasonic, meanwhile, tipped its hand into the tablet ring with a range of devices carrying the Viera name – we weren’t treated to much by way of detail aside from the news that there’ll be the choice of 4in, 7in and 10in screen sizes, but it’s another name to add to the rapidly growing tablet brigade nonetheless.

There was plenty more besides, from cameras and laptops to smartphones and camcorders, and it’ll take some time to sift through the details.

Among the new arrivals from slightly lesser lights that caught our eye were the B&W Zeppelin Air iPod dock, adding Apple AirPlay support to the Zeppelin’s already strong hand, and the Philips Dual-Screen Portable Blu-ray/DVD player, a twin-touchscreen pair of displays for in-car Blu-ray use.

My top 5 Apps of This Month

With The IPhones App store ever expanding I thought I might share with you my top 5 favourite Apps of this month! I will try to do this post every month and keep you up to date on the newest and best apps!!

In 5th place I would say is ‘TouchGrind’

This application defiantly caught my attention because of its fun factor and addictiveness. Whenever I was bored I would simply pick up my Iphone 4 and play it; The essence of the game is to use your index finger and middle finger to created ‘two feat on the board’ Then you simply act like your fingers are your feat as if you was riding a normal skateboard. This application is currently priced at $4.99 or £2.99.

In 4th place would be ‘Cut The Rope’

This application is the type off application you pick up to simply waste time. Because of its low price and it’s fun graphics it is highly appealing and is actionably quite intuitive, making you cut a rope to make it fall into the monster’s mouth, thats it! This application is currently priced at $0.99 or £0.59.

In 3rd place would be ‘Fragger’

This application is Just a fun one. You have to try and ‘blow up’ the enemy soldiers by angling your throw and adjusting your power to hit them, a bit like ‘Worms’ Actionably! This will keep you playing for a long time because of its many difficult and personally frustrating levels. This application is currently priced at $0.99 or £0.59.

In 2nd place it has to be ‘iShoot’

This application is great for the bus or train when your with your mates because of its great multiplayer experience.You drive a tank around a ‘bumpy’ map looking for your opponent. Basically try to kill your mate by selecting various weapons at the start with your in-game money. If you win you earn more in-game money meaning that you can purchase better weapons each time you get a kill! This Application Is Currently price at $0.99 or £0.59 or you can get the free version with limited weapons, maps, tanks etc..

But in 1st place is has to be ‘Madden 11′

You all now what this game is but if any of your don’t its American Football. I shouldn’t have to explain this one much but it is a very good package including a load of great detail into every essence of the game! This application is currently price at $4.99 or £0.59.

The new stunning Cannon 4k Concept





We are always looking out for new and upcoming cameras but when we saw this gorgeous 4k concept our jaws dropped.


This new prototype is boasting a 8-megapixel CMOS sensor, but the thing that really catches our eyes is its incredible 60fps video at the unbelievable resolution if 7680x4320, to put that into perspective no TV anybody has ever made can show the quality that this camera can shoot!


Impressive as it is, however, the numbers arguably pack less wow factor than the striking design. The viewfinder sits in the middle of the uncluttered rear of the camera, directly behind the centre-mounted lens, with the pop-up LCD above, giving the entire camera body a more symmetrical, balanced feel.


Sadly though we think this camera is a one off, though it hopefully shows what cannon can do with camera's in the future. The good news is that the technology behind this camera is very real and can hopefully be put out into the market in years to come. Maybe a pre-order soon we wonder?
